Recollections of Barnt Green 1942-1955

In 2008 I made a series of gouaches based on my memories of Barnt Green, the Worcestershire village where I lived as a child. There are 28 paintings in the series, either 16.5x19cm or 19x16.5cm.

They were used as illustrations for the book Hail, Salubrious Spot! (How's your Rupture?) by the poet and dramatist Gavin Bantock, being an account of a small Worcestershire village as it was in the 1940s and 1950s. The book is available from Amazon (click 'in English' at top right), or directly from the author.
